The Orthopaedic Trauma Program brings together a team of specialists to achieve improved outcomes for patients with complex injuries and fractures. All Orthopaedic Trauma Service full-time faculty are fellowship trained, AO and OTA faculty.

John M. Garlich, MD

John M. Garlich, MD is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Service at Cedars Sinai Medical Center specializing in the acute and post-operative care of polytraumatized patients with fractures and other orthopedic injuries.

 

Carol A. Lin, MD

Orthopaedic Residency Program, Associate Director

Carol A. Lin, MD current focus of research includes acetabular fractures, tibial non-unions and outcomes following hip and knee arthroplasty in HIV positive patients. She has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Arthroplasty, the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma, and the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.

 

Milton Little, MD

Orthopaedic Trauma Program, Fellowship Director

Milton Little, MD is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Service at Cedars Sinai Medical Center specializing in pelvis, acetabulum, peri-articular fractures in addition to non-union fracture fixation. 

 

Geoffrey S. MARECEK, MD

Dr. Marecek is a board-certified orthopaedic trauma surgeon who treats fractures of the upper and lower extremities, pelvis and acetabulum. He specializes in “problem fractures” with an emphasis on post-traumatic reconstruction and limb salvage. He has particular expertise treating nonunions, malunions, bone defects, limb length discrepancy, skeletal deformity, and osteomyelitis using internal fixation and circular external fixation.

 

Charles Moon, MD

Orthopaedic Trauma Program, Director

Charles Moon, MD is a board-certified Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He specializes in joint replacement and management of complex trauma and trauma reconstruction including peri-articular fractures and pelvic and acetabular trauma.

 

Mark Vrahas, MD

Mark Vrahas, MD has been appointed the Levin/Gordon Distinguished Chair in Cedars-Sinai’s Department of Orthopaedics. Dr. Vrahas arrived at Cedars-Sinai with an international reputation for clinical excellence and a strong record of building and leading highly effective orthopaedic trauma programs.
